SCEI’s Siren: Blood Curse

SCEI’s Siren: Blood Curse

SCEI’s Siren: Blood Curse is a reimagined and revamped, next-gen version of the PS2 game Siren from Silent Hill director Keiichiro Toyama. The game deals with the tribulations of an American film team trapped amidst the otherworldy force possessing the people of a village in rural Japan. Siren will be offered in four downloadable chapters at $9.99 each on July 24 for PS3.

The game is already receiving awesome reviews from somewhat harsh critics, which is great news for we survival horror fans. Having played the demo and the original, I can attest to its way improved control (no more clunky menus), great physics and really terrifying enemy designs.

I’m really looking forward to this one-It seems that no matter how many zombie wigs I split, it never gets old. I guess it stems from my contempt for corpses having watched Weekend at Bernies 1 and 2 a lot as a kid. How does a corpse get into more zany shenanigans than I? Bernie got shot up in the second one and he still got the chicks. It’s safe to say that-then and now-I really have no concept of reality.
