WebStratego enables players from around the world to compete head-to-head in real time in an online adaptation & enhancement of the classic strategy game. In addition to original rules, many unique features make the gameplay more exciting than ever. Game fads come and go, but Stratego remains. WebStratego takes the classic strategy board game online and adds a bunch of additional features. As in the original, the object is to move an army of differently ranked pieces around a board and capture the opponent's flag. The catch is you can't see which of your opponent's pieces are which. When one piece attacks another, the higher-ranked piece wins and the identity of both is revealed.

New options in WebStratego include making all the pieces visible, keeping them invisible even during an attack, and giving players a chance to trade earned points for new units. The game offers a four-player option as well as the traditional two-player. The map graphics have greatly improved from previous versions. WebStratego has one of the most active Stratego communities around, so you won't have trouble finding a game.

The $6.99-per-month subscription fee and the lack of an AI option are a bit discouraging, but Stratego fiends will love being able to start a good battle at the drop of a plumed hat.
