Motocross Madness 2 1.0
Motocross Madness 2 is the sequel to the award-winning Motocross Madness. The game features all the dirt-bike action of the original but takes a quantum leap forward with entirely new gameplay depth, graphics realism, accessibility, and community/multiplayer features.
Motocross Madness 2 features an upgraded physics engine that allows independent rider and biker motion, variable surface friction (for slick ice, gravel, and mud), and a range of bike handling and performance options. Also added are new graphics for eye-popping terrain (four times as large as the terrain in the original) that's populated with 3D objects and a variety of vehicles and characters. Throw in licensed motorcycles, gear, and a create-your-own rider and bike feature, and you've got one boss racing experience.
This bike quest is addictive, worth every minute of the lengthy downloading process. The trial version includes only three tracks, but that's more than enough to get a real taste of Motocross Madness. Basically all you get is a bike and a road, which varies from cross-country to a straight track. Controlling the bike is easy, accomplished through the arrow keys. You're not restricted to the road, although careless riding can lead to crashes in the trees or falls from the rocks. After falling, you just get up and continue the ride. It would be nice if the demo offered the Tournament mode. Moreover, you can't tell where the cross-country track ends, though 10 to 15 falls from the bike seem to end the ride. If you're into motocross, you might find this demo one of the best you'll ever play.
