Rise of the Argonauts
The holiday gaming season is winding down, with new releases slowing to the occasional trickle. Rise of the Argonauts, an RPG inspired by the Greek mythology of Jason and crew, comes out today. And that’s about it.
EA Quadruple Feature
If you’re a Wii owner and haven’t already succumbed to your plastic instrument urges with Guitar Hero World Tour, the rival music game Rock Band 2 shipped out last week. Same goes for the Playstation 2 version of the game, though it isn’t clear when these titles will actually reach stores. As a Christmas gift, you’ll be tempting the fates.
Instant Action
Instant Action is an online video game portal with a difference. For a start the games are all in glorious 3D technocolour, and come complete with a range of game-play options including things like capture the flag and deathmatch. Most importantly though, the whole interface is geared towards making it easy to get your friends to join in and play. There’s a fast ‘email your friends an invite’ feature, and a nice built in chat room so you can make it more of a leisure time party thing.
No Digital Download Of Wrath For A Little While
If you’re looking to download the Wrath of the Lich King when it comes out next week, it ain’t gonna happen. For those of you that haven’t taken advantage of it, you can download the full World of Warcraft client, and subsequently The Burning Crusade expansion from the WoW site. You’ll need to have a valid account, and in the case of the expansion, you’ll need to have purchased it as well.
ezShot Gun For Wii Misses Its Mark
One of the things I like about my Wii is that I can easily turn my Wiimote into a gun without the need to drop a bundle of cash on another accessory. Generally you shell out just a few bucks and get a plastic frame, which is fine with me. I personally have two different ones in my collection (the official Wii Zapper and the Nyko Perfect Shot), however, I’ve recently acquired a third. I decided to take my new ezShot Gun for a spin, and found it to be the most disappointing of any gun I’d used yet.

Rumor - LEGO Harry Potter Game In Development
I still haven’t gotten around to playing LEGO Batman, but I loved the Star Wars and Indiana Jones games. I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia of those little bricks, or the love of the movies they are based on, but I can’t seem to get enough of them. Well according to the latest rumors, we may have another successful franchise turned into a LEGO game. This time around, it’s Harry Potter.
Ben Heck Creates Another Awesome Xbox 360 Portable
There are times when I’m on the road, and neither my iPhone or my DS can really satisfy my gaming needs. Thankfully I picked up one of the new MacBook Pro’s not long ago, and can get a pretty decent gaming experience on there if needed. However, if I’m up for some Rock Band, or anything else that requires my 360, I’m pretty much out of luck. I mean who really wants to go through all of the hassle of unplugging it from their TV, loading up all of the cables (and that massive power brick), just for a bit of fun on the road?
Atari Releases Ghostbusters Trailer
Not too long ago we thought all hope was lost on the Ghostbusters game, it seemed as if it was never actually going to be released. Well now Atari has finally given us hope once again. They’ve released a trailer, which actually makes the game look like it might be worth picking up. At the end they also offer a date as to when the game might finally be released, they’re saying that we can pick it up as of June 2009. So until then, we’re stuck drooling over trailers and praying that the game is as good as they make it appear to be.
Cracked Reveals The 20 Stupidest G.I. Joe Vehicles Ever
I’m sure part of my grown-up fascination with gadgets and technology was fostered by one of the greatest cartoons to ever hit the airwaves when I was a kid. G.I. Joe not only featured outlandish plots for world domination, awesome battles and crazy characters, but also some of the coolest war machines ever to be devised by man. While I’m not really sure who funded the Joes or Cobra, their military R&D budgets had to be in the trillions of dollars.
