Always a fun time, Sony’s Hot Shots Golf is the only annual competition for EA’s superlative Tiger Woods series. While aiming at different audiences, both games nail their golfing mechanics soundly. This PS3 version of now 10 year old Hot Shots series doesn’t revolutionize anything, but this is still excellent golf.

If thought Kratos was ticked off when the gods defied him, just imagine what he’ll do when he misses a five foot birdie putt on the 18th. Sony has decided to let Kratos out a little by making him a downloadable character in Hot Shots Golf Open Tee on the PS3. The best part? Kratos is apparently only worth $2 on the open market. That’s a steal for someone who can kill ancient mythological gods.

Jump into a real heart-pumping workout with your PlayStation and the kinesthetic fitness activities on this innovative video game! Users will show up on the TV screen in real time (thanks to the included EyeToy camera) as they perform strength exercises inspired by kick boxing, aerobics, dance, and yoga. Use the game’s “virtual” personal trainers to set up customized workout routines, or just play along as the game provides encouragement, real-time direction, and energetic music. EyeToy: Kinetic Fitness Video Game is available separately and with a game console.

Kicks Online is a free-to-play football MMO (massively multi-player online) developed by Entermate, one of the emerging brands of Korean online games industry. The game was launched on the Korean market on July 2006 and now has more than 300,000 Registered users. Kicks Online adopts street football modes and rules. Only through different tactics (such as various ways of passing ball and adjusting football surface harness) and strong teamwork players can win the match. More the player plays, more the character’s skills will improve.

This free online game is just a teaser for the full ‘sign up’ golf tournament game, but it’s fun. Nearest the flag, nice combination of timing and strategy. I like it because it’s simple, like me, and very quick. Which means I can play a round every so often in between important things like lunch and dinner. Oh and did I mention it looks really good too?
